Things to do
Rio Genal - another fun stop for the kids. A lovely river to swim in located between Casares & Gaucin, accessible from near the bridge across the river. Plenty of locals during the summer. As you can see, our boys loved jumping, swimming and even snorkelling in the river.
Roman Baths - if this was anywhere else you'd have to pay! This is a fantastic place, totally uncommercialised. It is accessible from the Lidl roundabout in Sabinillas, head up until near the motorway bridge, where you will need to take a right and head along a dirt track. You will need to cover yourself in the mud at the stream, wait for it to bake on in the sun and then head to the whitewashed underground spa to wash off.
Bahia Waterpark - a great waterpark, perfect for the kids. Just off the A7 in Algeciras (well signposted).
Selwo Safari Park -
Golf - plenty of excellent golf courses within close proximty, including the local Duquesa Golf (pictured) with an 18 hole course offering wonderful sea and mountain views, as well as tennis, squash and a fully equipped gym and spa. Other local courses include; Los Arqueros Golf, Alcaidesa, Duquesa, Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque.
